Nominated
for ten awards from the Israeli Film Academy (The Ophir
Awards,) NOODLE is a funny and heartwarming story of
relationships between sisters, wives and husbands, and
friends and strangers. At thirty-seven, Miri (Mili Avital)
is a twice-widowed El Al flight attendant. Her well-regulated
existence is suddenly turned upside down by a young Chinese
boy (BaoQi Chen) when his mother, who is a housekeeper
for Miri’s sister (Anat Waxman), suddenly disappears.
This film is a touching comic-drama in which two human
beings -- as different from each other as Tel Aviv is
from Beijing -- accompany each other on a dramatic and
humorous journey that takes them both back to a meaningful
life.
